Mitsis Alila

In the summer of 2017, I and my expanded family celebrated my father in law’s 70th birthday. At first we thought of taking a vacation in a nice indulging villa, but soon enough we realized that this

time we really want to spoil ourselves as much as possible.

After a short drive from Rhodes’ airport we arrived to the amazing and modern Mitsis Alila hotel, located in Fliraki, Rhodes.

I love using Skyscanner search engine to look for flights, which compares between the different airlines. Just pay attention to the currency.

The hotel, that was established 7 years ago, is designed in modern white. At the reception you will find huge windows looking at the private incredibly indulging beach.

During the time we waited to check-in into our rooms, we received champagne, which made us feel taken care of.

The hotel is built with great height which is very comfortable when traveling with baby strollers, though the disadvantage is that you might need to wait for the elevators for a while.

The hotel’s rooms are spacious and beautiful. Some rooms face to the mountain and some to the beach. There are also family rooms with separating doors between the parents and children’s units which have either a side view or a panoramic view to the sea. The hotel has also some family rooms with a private pool and junior suites with a Jacuzzi in the balcony and sea view which are highly recommended for couples.

If a panoramic view is extremely important for you, you can book a suitable room.

The rooms also have a bath and a shower, luxury soaps that are very pleasant and a mini bar which is being refilled every day. The maximal capacity of the family room is two adults, two children and a baby (families with three children will have to book two rooms).

The hotel’s beach is private, it is not sandy but with small stones, I and my daughters loved it. It has plenty of comfortable indulging sunbathing beds, parasols and personal waiters that will be happy to serve you a damp cloth on a hot day, a selection of the season’s fruits and a verity of drinks.

The beach’s high-light is an outdoor stove (Tabun) pizza that my daughters defined as the best pizza in the world. The beach also have a bar with live shows, a verity of drinks, ice creams, and yes – it’s all included in the all-inclusive! Did I already say it is paradise? In addition, the beach have an option of maritime sports with an additional fee.

The restaurants in Mitsis Alila  are included, without any extra payment, as part of the accommodation on the all-inclusive base. Among which a Greek, Mexican, and Chinese restaurants, desserts bar, an actual bar and more. To most restaurant you should reserve a table via the reception. In the main building you will always find the main restaurant ready to have guests without a reservation – in which, by the way, there’s a dress code for men who are required to wear long trousers.

The hotel has a swimming pool for children with two cute slides and another larger swimming pool. There’s a spa area with a roofed pool. The pools are filled with salt water, which didn’t bother us at all.

During the day there are activities and a small club for children. Last summer they had a cruise on a boat for the children. During the evenings they have performances both for adults and for children.

If you do want to leave the hotel for a while, you will find a bus stop near the hotel, from which you can travel to the old city of Rhodes, Fliraki town or Lindos. In a five minutes’ drive from the hotel you will find a large water park suitable for the entire family.

The hotel can arrange a private transfer from the airport and return with an additional payment. After you book with the hotel, you can contact them via E-mail and state the guests name, time of arrival, flight number, airline, phone number, the number of guests, and whether you need a baby seat as well and the children’s ages at alila.guest@mitsishotels.com.

In conclusion, after staying there and many positive feedbacks I received, I spent 8 days of pure fun, we enjoyed every moment and I will gladly return. Have fun!
