Melia Berlin

I adore good hotels. A good hotel for me isn’t just a place to lay your head, but an experience that upgrades my trip. Last November I was in Berlin for the sixth time and it was the third time I stayed in my favorite hotel – Melia Berlin. I thought of trying a different hotel, even for the blog, but I couldn’t let go. It is important for to mention that this is not a sponsored post.

In order to book this hotel at a good and fair price it is recommended to book it in advance. Disclosure: This post might contain Affiliates links. For further information go to Terms Of Use.

There are a lot of good and even great hotels in Berlin, but this one has something that makes me return to it over and over again, and I’ll explain why.

First of all, Melia chain is a Spanish chain known by the level of cleanness, its good service and the spacious and pleasant rooms. In my opinion, the hotel’s location is the most central location you can find in the Mitte area. It is on Fridrichstrasse, and a minute walk from there you would find all of the possible transportation means you’ll need, as well as a direct line to the Schonefeld airport, the S9.

I like to upgrade to the Junior Suite room which has a view to the river and an entrance to the hotel’s lounge – The Level. There are other rooms with spectacular view and an entrance to the lounge. .

Upgrading the room and entering the lounge also allow a late Check-Out subject to the hotel’s availability

What can I do? I just love a unique view like this, especially one that it is something I can’t get to see every day.

The lounge is open every day from the morning till late in the evening. That’s where the breakfast is being served in case you would like to have one, and throughout the day they serve snacks. I particularly enjoyed the champagne, coffee and free drinks. The lounge also have a balcony for the smokers, again, with great view to the river.

The bed in the room is super indulging – it is usually two beds connected together, cozy down blankets in the winter, you have a menu to choose the type of pillow you prefer, the rooms are being cleaned or organized twice a day and if you want to have a kettle, try and ask the front desk for one.

The bathroom in the junior suite.

The breakfast is served on the first floor with view to the river, you can choose your preferred type of coffee and eggs. When checking-in you will also receive code for the internet.

In the hotel’s lobby there’s a tapas restaurant that I haven’t had the chance to dine in, but it was packed with people and great smell both in lunch and dinner time.

When I arrived at the hotel it was late at night, so I just entered a restaurant located 50 meters from the hotel, a hamburger and meat joint, called Peter Pen.

Here in the photo with the hotel’s director of sales & marketing.

Have fun, i can’t wait till next time,
